Grant Meyer, CO

Grant received his certification in the discipline of Orthotics from the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics, Inc. in 1979 after completing his academics at Northwestern University Medical School in the Orthotics Program and his residency at Mary Free Bed Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. With his specialty in pediatrics, Grant became Director of Orthotics at the Detroit Institute for Children and a Consulting Orthotist at the Children's Hospital of Michigan in Detroit and Hurley Hospital Rehabilitation Center in Flint, Michigan.

He has done extensive research and development and has innovated techniques for pediatric corrective casting, cast modification and design, and has attained orthotic-related United States and Canadian patents.

Grant's opportunity to come home to West Michigan was in January 2000 when he was hired to design and build an orthotic/prosthetic facility in Grand Rapids, which he purchased one year later. He has built the company on the foundation of specialization, innovation, and a team approach to provide the best in patient care.

  Gabriel Beversluis, CO

Gabriel received his certification in the discipline of Orthotics from the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics, Inc. Hired by G.C. Meyer, Inc. in 2000, the following year he earned the position of facility manager and assisted in the creation of the d.b.a. "Pediatric Orthotic Specialists."

As facility manager, Gabriel oversees all day to day operations. Assuring quality patient care; supervising employees; working with insurance companies; implementing policies and procedures; and assuring that the company surpasses all Federal, State, and American Board requirements are a few of his administrative responsibilities.

Specializing as a pediatric practitioner, Gabriel has innovated orthotic designs and fabrication techniques that are being utilized exclusively by Pediatric Orthotic Specialists. Gabriel works closely with technical staff and directs all aspects of the fabrication process as well. With four children of his own, pediatrics is a natural for him.

 

Kevin Soules, BS

Kevin received his Bachelors in Health Science from Grand Valley State University and then designed and fabricated immobilization devices and radiation fields for children at several institutions including Sparrow Regional, West Michigan, Spectrum Health and Lack's Cancer Centers. Kevin then found his passion in the profession of Orthotics with the specialty of Pediatrics.

Currently assisting with all aspects of pediatric patient care and dedicated to developing his fabrication techniques utilized to produce the highest quality products, Kevin spends considerable time enhancing his “hands on” skills working with our master pediatric technicians in the laboratory. This experience is providing an extensive and strong foundation for specializing in pediatric orthotics.

Kevin has been accepted to the graduate program at Northwestern University Medical School to fulfill his academics in Orthotics. He will perform his residency at G.C. Meyer, Inc. and prepare for exams from the American Board for Certification. Upon successful completion of this rigorous program, G.C. Meyer, Inc. dba Pediatric Orthotic Specialists will welcome Kevin to the level of Pediatric Orthotist.
